Blessings of Pegasus ~ Markab & Scheat

galactic astrology pegasus Mar 15, 2026

Each year from mid February to mid March the Sun travels across the stars of Pegasus, the mythical winged horse often associated with transformation & divine grace when they are most needed.

Humanity right now is going through so many changes and many people feel overwhelmed by the state of the world. When we remain focused on conflict, uncertainty, and the darker expressions of human nature, it can easily lead to discouragement and despair.

I felt inspired to write this blog as an invitation to consciously reconnect with the currents of creative inspiration, divinely guided solutions, and grace that the stars of Pegasus guide us to receive.

To fully appreciate the symbolism of Pegasus, let's pause for a moment with Medusa, whose blood gave birth to this magnificent creature.

Before Medusa was turned into a monster, she was a beautiful maiden and a priestess in service to the goddess Athena. In Greek mythology, the god Poseidon pursued her within Athena’s temple. But rather than punishing Poseidon, Athena directed her anger toward Medusa. She transformed the young woman’s beautiful hair into living serpents and cursed her so that anyone who looked into her eyes would turn to stone.

Medusa's life ended when the young hero Perseus beheaded her without looking directly into her eyes. From Medusa’s spilled blood emerged two mythical creatures: Pegasus, the magnificent winged horse symbolising transcendence and divine grace, and Chrysaor, a warrior whose name means “he of the golden sword," symbolising divine authority and power.

Shortly after his birth Pegasus rose into the heavens and was eventually placed among the stars as a constellation.

To me, the symbolism is significant. Out of the tragic fate of Medusa emerged something majestic and eternal. It reminds us that even when life appears most unjust or painful, the deeper essence within us may still hold extraordinary beauty, strength, and creative power waiting to be revealed.

One of the most beautiful elements of the myth tells us that Pegasus struck the ground with his hoof and created the Hippocrene spring, a sacred fountain believed to inspire poets and visionaries.

This carries another layer of symbolism, telling us that deep transformation is followed by endless inspiration.

Pegasus in the Lives of Inspiring Messengers

Through years of Galactic Astrology research, I have observed that the stars of Pegasus often appear prominently in the charts of people who feel guided to bring hope, faith, and creative inspiration to others during difficult times.

For example, Maya Angelou, renowned American poet and civil rights activist who inspired hope and courage in millions during Civil Rights Movement in 1960-ies. He natal Venus is conjunct Markab star in Pegasus. And her Uranus conjunct Scheat with a wider orb.

Or Tony Robbins who inspired millions out of depression with his teachings on mastering your mindset. His natal Mercury is conjunct Markab.

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th US president who led the nation through the Civil War, preserved the Union, and ended slavery. His natal Jupiter is conjunct Markab.

Let’s explore these two stars a little more closely.

Markab ~ The Inspired Mind

Markab (Alpha Pegasi), positioned at 23°50' Pisces in the tropical zodiac in 2026 that forms one of the corners of the famous Great Square of Pegasus.

Astrologically, Markab often appears in charts where the mind is naturally attuned to inspiration and symbolic understanding

People with planets near Markab may experience:

  • sudden flashes of insight

  • strong intuitive perception

  • a vivid imagination

  • the ability to translate inspiration into teaching, writing, or creative expression

The mythology of Pegasus creating the Hippocrene spring of inspiration resonates strongly here. Markab often seems to open a channel through which ideas flow.

With my Mercury - the planet of communication - sitting right on Markab, I have often felt that many of the ideas I share arrive last minute and feel like streams of inspiration rather than purely analytical thought. Later, those insights gradually find their way into words, lessons, and larger concepts.

Many astrologers, writers, mystics, and inspiring teachers may recognize this pattern if Markab is active in their charts.

To see whether Markab is present in your chart, look for planets or angles near:

22–25° Pisces.

Scheat ~ Wisdom at the Threshold

The second important Pegasus star is Scheat (Beta Pegasi), located around 29°44' Pisces in 2026.

This is one of the most fascinating degrees in the zodiac because it sits right at the threshold between Pisces and Aries, the completion of one cycle and the birth of another.

Historically, Scheat sometimes received difficult interpretations in traditional astrology, often linked to turbulent waters or emotional intensity. Yet when we step back and consider the symbolism more deeply, Scheat can be understood as the ability to navigate deep waters of experience and emerge with wisdom.

People with strong Scheat placements often possess:

  • profound spiritual depth and resilience

  • visionary imagination

  • the capacity to move through chaos and discover meaning

  • insight that arises at critical turning points in life

Zero Aries sits at the World Degree axis in astrology. Planets in natal or transit charts aligned with this point are known to impact collective, global, or public events. Individuals with planets aligned here live with a strong sense that their actions may reach beyond personal life and influence the wider collective. When these placements appear in the upper half of the chart, they may feel especially guided to contribute something meaningful to the world.

Perhaps the Pegasian signature near this degree is a beautiful blessing from the cosmos for those who courageously step forward to fulfill their soul mission.

In our community, Pam Gregory, Master Astrologer, has a personal planet aligned with zero Aries (Mercury, if I recall correctly, as she has mentioned in her videos), and Kelly Kolodney, Angel Raphael, has natal Saturn at this point. Both women bring hope and inspiration to many through their work.

Do you have any planets aligned with these two stars? I would love to hear how this energy may be expressing itself in your life. Feel free to share in the comments below.

In my own chart, Mercury at 25° Pisces is conjunct the Pegasus star Markab in the 10th house, and my Sun at Aries sits next to the Pegasus star Scheat in the 11th house. I can clearly see how these alignments influence my life, not only in my public work but also on a personal level. Even in the most difficult moments, I carry an unshakable faith that something meaningful and beautiful will eventually emerge from the challenge.

Pisces and Aries Expression of star Scheat

One interesting pattern I have noticed while studying charts with Scheat alignments relates to whether the natal planet falls in late Pisces or early Aries.

When the planet conjunct Scheat sits in late Pisces, the expression often feels very Piscean in tone. The insights or solutions that arise may be shared in a gentle, graceful, and deeply embodied way. The person may radiate wisdom quietly, allowing the insight to unfold naturally and peacefully.

However, when the planet conjunct Scheat falls in early Aries, the expression often carries a different flavor. The person may suddenly recognize a solution in the final moment and feel a strong surge of courage to share it boldly. Aries brings great enthusiasm, initiative, and confidence.

In these cases, there can be a powerful sense of:

  • Yes, this is the answer.”

  • “Everybody, let’s move forward.”

It often comes with a genuine excitement and conviction that good things can happen and that blessings are available.

This transition from Pisces into Aries beautifully illustrates the movement from deep intuitive knowing into courageous action.

Neptune and Scheat ~ A Collective Activation

Since early 2024, Neptune has been in conjunct alignment with the star Scheat while in late Pisces, and Neptune will remain conjunct until Jan 2027 while in early Aries.

Neptune represents imagination, spirituality, and the dissolution of boundaries between worlds. Its passage through this part of the sky has coincided with a noticeable increase in collective interest in:

  • spirituality

  • consciousness exploration

  • mystical traditions

  • questioning the nature of reality

Many people have felt this period as an invitation to explore deeper layers of intuition and imagination.

When Neptune activates stars like Scheat, the visionary and mystical qualities associated with Pegasus can become more visible in the collective. Have you noticed the great rise of channellers, psychics and intuitives in the collective?

The Pegasus Archetype

When Pegasus stars are prominent in a chart, people often resonate with the archetype of an inspiring messenger.

They may feel drawn to:

  • share insights or inspiration with others

  • explore symbolic or mystical knowledge

  • translate subtle perceptions into practical understanding

  • help others reconnect with a greater cosmic perspective

In this way, Pegasus represents the ability to carry inspiration from the heavens down to earth.

A Moment of Reflection

If you discover these stars activated in your chart, you might reflect on questions such as:

  • Do I experience sudden bursts of inspiration or insight?

  • Do I feel called to translate something subtle or unseen into language or creative expression?

  • Have moments of deep emotional experience eventually led to wisdom that I now share with others?

Pegasus reminds us that inspiration often emerges through transformation. From the depths of experience can arise extraordinary creativity, vision, and understanding.

Sometimes, all it takes is the courage to let those wings unfold.

Julia
